Dusty baseboards are one of those things nobody notices when they’re clean – and everyone notices when they’re not.
The fastest way to clean them:
- Run a dry microfiber cloth or the brush attachment of your vacuum along the top edge first to remove loose dust.
- Dampen a cloth with warm water and a drop of dish soap, then wipe the face of the baseboard.
- Dry immediately to prevent water marks.
For the corners and crevices, wrap a damp cloth around a butter knife and run it along the edge – it pulls out the packed dust in one pass.
Hack to reduce future buildup: After cleaning, wipe baseboards with a dryer sheet. It repels dust and adds a light static barrier that keeps them cleaner, longer.
