Interior windows streak when cleaned incorrectly – here is what actually works.
- Clean on a cloudy day or when the window is not in direct sun. Sun dries the cleaner too fast, causing streaks.
- Spray glass cleaner on a microfiber cloth, not directly on the glass.
- Wipe in a Z pattern from top to bottom.
- Buff any remaining streaks with a dry microfiber cloth or crumpled newspaper.
For frames and sills: vacuum first to remove loose dust, then wipe with a damp cloth. Dirty frames contaminate the glass during cleaning.
