The area behind your stove, refrigerator, and dryer accumulates dust and grease that can become a fire hazard.
- Unplug or turn off gas before pulling appliances out.
- Vacuum refrigerator coils on the back – dusty coils make the motor work harder.
- Vacuum and mop the floor underneath and behind.
- Wipe the back panel of the stove and surrounding walls where grease accumulates.
- For the dryer, also clean the vent line.
Check that power cords are not pinched before pushing appliances back against the wall.
