Dusty air vents blow dust back into the room every time your HVAC runs – but most people never clean them.

  1. Remove the vent cover by unscrewing it from the wall or floor.
  2. Wash the cover in warm soapy water, scrub with a brush, and let it dry completely.
  3. Vacuum inside the duct opening as far as the hose reaches.
  4. Wipe the interior edges with a damp microfiber cloth.
  5. Replace the dry cover.
