Pillows absorb sweat, oils, and dead skin – and pillowcases do not fully prevent this.

  1. Check the care label. Most polyester and down-alternative pillows are machine washable.
  2. Wash two pillows together to balance the load. Use a small amount of gentle detergent.
  3. Run an extra rinse cycle to fully remove detergent.
  4. Dry on low heat with two or three clean tennis balls to restore fluffiness. Check every 30 minutes and break up any clumping.
  5. Dry completely before using – a damp pillow grows mold inside.

Replace pillows every 2 years regardless of cleaning frequency.
