The TV remote is one of the most bacteria-covered objects in the average home – and almost nobody cleans it.
- Remove the batteries.
- Shake to dislodge debris from button gaps.
- Use a dry toothbrush to clear buildup around buttons.
- Dampen a microfiber cloth with 70% isopropyl alcohol – just damp, not soaking.
- Wipe all surfaces including the back and sides.
- Use a cotton swab with alcohol for crevices around buttons.
- Let dry completely before replacing batteries.
Never spray liquid directly onto a remote – it seeps under buttons and damages the circuit board.
