Sunscreen leaves an oily stain that yellows fabric over time if not treated.

  1. Blot up any excess product with a clean dry cloth. Do not rub.
  2. Sprinkle baking soda over the stain to absorb the oil. Let sit 15 minutes, then brush away.
  3. Apply a small amount of dish soap and work in gently.
  4. Blot with a damp cloth from the outside inward.
  5. Rinse by blotting with plain cold water. Blot dry.

For set-in stains, a pre-treatment enzyme cleaner left for 30 minutes breaks down the oil effectively before washing.
