Dirty window screens block airflow and let dust into the house every time a breeze comes through.
- Remove the screen from the window frame.
- Lay flat and scrub gently with warm soapy water and a soft brush on both sides.
- Rinse thoroughly with a garden hose.
- Allow to dry completely before reinstalling.
In southern Utah and Arizona, fine desert dust builds up on screens faster than in other climates. Clean once in spring and once at the end of summer as a minimum.
